IRISHBOUND
IRISHBOUND
You are…
a lone Notre Dame Football Player deep in the bowls of Notre Dame Stadium.
Training room.
Ankles taped.
Game time.
Into to the locker room.
Down the stairs.
Slap the sign.
Narrow hallway.
Pressure building.
Intensity rising.
You stop at the threshold of the tunnel.
That iconic, legendary tunnel where dozens… no, hundreds of this game’s greatest athletes have walked before you. More All-Americans, more Heisman winners, and more NFL Hall of Famers than any other school in all of college football. They came here, and elevated Notre Dame to new heights. And they made a name for themselves.
Now you’re about to step across that threshold and into that tunnel.
Into greatness.
Can you feel it?
Take a deep breath.
And before you take that step, turn around and look me in the eye.
Yeah…
you’re ready.

As the camera follows our player; making his way from the training room, through the locker room, into the stairwell, down the narrow hallway and to the legendary tunnel, he transforms along the way.
At one moment he’s wearing street clothes, then a monogram jacket, then a graduation cap and gown, and back to shoulder pads and helmet.
The Player also randomly becomes three different players—all walking this same path. Three different football archetypes, on a journey through stages of development into the true Notre Dame man he is bound to become. As the pace and intensity builds, he stops at the threshold of the hallway to the tunnel. Takes a deep breath and turns to look directly into the lens. He’s ready.
Throughout this walk and transformation, we hear his mothers voice. His dad’s voice. Perhaps even his high school coach’s voice…
“I knew it when you stood up for your sister at the playground, and no one else would.”
“I knew it when you were two years old, a strong willed child that wouldn’t take no for an answer.”
“I knew it when you woke up everyday at 6 am in the 7th grade to go workout before school.”
“I knew it when I benched you as a sophomore, and you came back stronger as a junior.”
“I knew it the first time I saw you play.”
“I knew it when you broke the record.”
“I knew it when you refused to settle.”
“I knew you were bound…”
“I knew you were bound…”
“I knew you were bound…
… for greatness.”
